How to build resilient and thriving teams.

With most of us living fast-paced lifestyles, balancing work, family, and social lives can take its toll on our mental and physical wellbeing.

Learning to meditate can bring a sense of calm and inner happiness to our lives and help promote a feeling of peace and tranquility that frequently gets lost when we are busy juggling everything we have to accomplish daily.

With this ebook, you will discover how you can transform your life & be stress-free in just minutes per day.

The COVID-19 epidemic has posed a threat to our health in a variety of ways, and people all around the world have been affected by mental health concerns as a result. How can you, as an employer, assist your employees in regaining and maintaining their health?

What does a happy life entail? You might fantasize about a life devoid of work, ample leisure time, and unfettered socializing with family and friends. However, despite your thoughts of early retirement, a life without employment may not make you happy.

Are you still not convinced? Consider a groundbreaking study conducted in the 1950s. Hundreds of British and American 95-year-olds were interviewed in the survey to understand the secrets of their longevity.

Unsurprisingly, these older people claimed to have enjoyed very stress-free lives. They placed a high value on spending time with friends and family, and they all had a positive attitude on life. They preferred to take each day as it came rather than plan ahead. Rather than fretting about the future, they took each day as it came. However, when it came to their professional lives, the findings were surprising. Rather than taking stress-relieving holidays, the interviewees had spent their lives…. at work.

The main point here is that having fun at work is the key to living a long and happy life.

Until they were 70 or 80 years old, these men and women had all worked an average of sixty hours every week. And, to their surprise, half of the males had never taken a vacation in their whole working lives!

This merely goes to prove that, contrary to popular belief, labor is not the enemy of happiness.

Work has been discovered to protect our well-being, according to experts. But not just any work will suffice; it must be fulfilling work. One thing that set this happy bunch of 95-year-olds apart from the rest of the world was how much they appreciated their jobs. Ninety-three percent of men aspire to be doctors. One thing that set this happy bunch of 95-year-olds apart from the rest of the world was how much they appreciated their jobs. Ninety-three percent of men and 85 percent of women said their employment gave them a great deal of satisfaction and was a lot of fun. In contrast, only 36% of American workers stated they were engaged in their work over the last decade. This suggests that 64% of employees aren’t having enough pleasure and happiness at work! When we appreciate what we do, it has a significant impact on our health. Not only may it improve our daily lives, but it may also have a considerable effect on how long we live, according to this study.

Many people are under the impression that meditation is some quasi-religious, mystical, or even profoundly personal philosophical journey into your inner world. However, suppose you would strip out the fluff, packaging, and mass media imagery surrounding meditation. In that case, it all boils down to tapping into an internal mental process that we all already have.
I know that sounds shocking because when people think of meditation, they often think about Buddhist monks high on top of some solitary hill or some Christian monk hidden away in the cold interior chamber somewhere in a distant forest. Nothing could be further from the truth. When stripped down to its essentials, Meditation is all about rediscovering the internal processes and mental machinery you already have to achieve a deep state of relaxation. Your mind has existing processes that protect it from overheating and breaking down from the wear and tear of all the data processing it does on any given day.
If you focus on what you think about and what you choose to perceive in any given second, you’d be surprised as to how much information flows through your mind. Some peg this data flow to around ninety thousand to a hundred twenty thousand thoughts. Of course, it varies from person to person, but that’s a lot of information, and to think those are only conscious thoughts. This means there are many other things we perceive that we do not think about. So, given all that data, you should understand how much stress and pressure your mind is under. The main point here is that when employees enjoy their employment, everyone benefits.

Management is the most incredible place to start. According to studies, having a poor boss can ruin your day. In addition, bullying supervisors can lead to various negative behaviors among their employees, including insomnia and alcohol misuse.

On the other hand, managers do not have to be abusive to have a detrimental impact on their employees’ well-being. Employees who work under a manager who is uninvolved or uninterested can get emotionally exhausted, leading to more excellent employee disengagement rates. Unfortunately, the average employee considers their time with their boss to be the most challenging part of their day.
